So what happens in a session?
Pink'd Up Design & Photography provides a simple studio setting to spend up to an hour* with you,
getting natural and characterful expressions. There will be some running, some jumping, definately some tickling. There are
a couple of small Space Hoppers - and yes, through much demand from grown ups, there is an adult sized Space Hopper too! There
are some cushions, coloured balls and balloons, lots to bring on the smiles.
Can
you bring 'props'?
If there are children in the session, Pink'd
Up has toys they can adopt for their session but maybe you'd like to bring some from home as this can be comforting for
very young children in an unfamiliar setting. If someone plays music such as a guitar, feel welcome to bring that along to
appear in a few of the photos. If you have a crazy fun selection of hats, bring those, a scooter, bring that. Basically, anything
that you think shows you and who you are and what you are about; capturing your character. If you don't brinig anything
apart from yourselves, then that is totally ok too!
What to wear?
As you can see from the Portrait examples above, the
background is mainly white, therefore it is importrant to not wear anything white or
very pale as it will not show up well in the photos and blend into the white background. Strong colours such as red, blue,
orange will timelessly look good. Jeans show up well too. There will be photos taken whilst you sit and lay on the floor,
so try not to wear short skirts as you will be forever pulling it down and being aware of it, Pink'd Up wants you to have
fun, so comfy clothes are a must. If you don't just want a casual relaxed feel and would like a change of clothes, such
as a party outfit, then you are more than welcome to change into that too. All of the above is only friendly advice and things
that have been tried and tested, by all means, you wear whatever you want to as it is YOUR session. Please also note that
the session is done in bare feet or pop on some funky socks if you want. The floor is padded and white plus also you don't
want to worry about accidentally kicking someone when caught up in the fun of it all!
What happens about seeing the photos?
About a week after the portrait session you will
come back for a viewing of the photos in the cosy separate Viewing Room. The photos will be projected on the big screen; some images will be black and white, colour, ultra vibrant, etc
- a lovely mixture. Pink'd Up doesn't believe in the 'hard sell'. You may want to just have
your free framed image and that's it, or have them all on CD, 5 canvases, 2 album, etc - it's up to you! You will
be able to see a selection of products up in the Pink Gallery to help you decided how
you may want your own little bit of art displayed in your home. Products take between 3 to 4 weeks to be delivered back to
the studio.
